Highlighted Donors
Cambridge Highlands Lions Club

The Cambridge Highlands Lions Club have chosen Langs as a charity of choice for both 2018 & 2019.  2018 funds were directed to Langs ‘Can you Imagine…’ Capital Campaign which supported a building expansion at Langs Main site, the HUB@1145, and 2019 funds will support the Grow Community Centre in Hespeler which provides resources and programs for youth and families. Thank you Cambridge Highlands Lions Club!

Bigger Piggy Bank: Kids Can Bike

Langs is proud to be partnered with Assured Mortgage Services/Bigger Piggy Bank through their ‘Kids Can Bike’ program. This program focuses on making Christmas a little brighter for youth in our neighbourhoods.  Since 2016, over 110 new bikes and helmets have been donated to Langs which are distributed each year throughout Cambridge and North Dumfries to children in need. Thank you Bigger Piggy Bank.

TMMC

Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada is a philanthropic leader who cares about the area they call home.  Fred Volf, TMMC President, graciously acted as honorary chair of Langs “Imagine a Place…" Capital Campaign throughout 2017/2018, and in additional to making a substantial donation to the campaign on behalf of TMMC, was instrumental in bringing new relationships and partnerships to Langs.  Thank you Fred and TMMC!

Langs 'Imagine a Place...' Capital Campaign

In 2016, after Langs experienced a 78% increase in only 5 years since moving into the HUB@1145, Langs broke ground on an 8200 sq. ft. expansion and kicked off the ‘Can You Imagine…’ Capital Campaign.  The campaigns goal was $3M which would allow space for additional community partners, group and meeting rooms, offices, and much needed parking.  While we still need roughly $300,000 to close the gap on the $3M, we are pleased to say the building expansion is complete, and the parking expansion will begin this fall. Thank you to the many donors who helped make this vision a reality!

Rotary Club of Cambridge North

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Cambridge North for supporting Langs Afterschool Program and our 2018 Giving Tree Program!

Langs Afterschool Program offers youth in grades 1-5 an opportunity to develop new skills, try new things and make new friends.  The program runs Sept-June and is facilitated by a Child & Youth Worker who incorporates new themes and encourages healthy discussions.

Langs Giving Tree Sponsorship Program assists families in need at Christmas with gifts and food supports.  With the Rotary's help, we were able to assist 96 families in 2018!
