Cambridge, ON - Langs Community Health Centre is pleased to announce that it has received funding from the Ministry of Health to expand and enhance access to interprofessional primary care teams. This funding is part of the Ministry's initiative outlined in "Your Health: A Plan for Connected and Convenient Care," aimed at improving healthcare services and patient outcomes.
The funding will enable Langs to strengthen its primary care teams by enhancing collaboration among healthcare professionals and expanding access to comprehensive healthcare services for the communities they serve. This initiative aligns with Langs’ commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care and addressing the evolving needs of our communities.
"We are excited to receive this funding from the Ministry of Health, which will allow us to further enhance the delivery of healthcare services in our communities," said Debbie Hollahan, CEO at Langs. "This investment will support our efforts to build stronger, more integrated primary care teams and improve access to timely and coordinated care for our patients."
Through this funding, Langs will focus on initiatives aimed at:
- Expanding the capacity of interprofessional primary care teams
- Improving access to patients in the Cambridge/North Dumfries communities currently unattached to primary care
- Enhancing comprehensive healthcare services for underserved populations
Langs extends its gratitude to the Ministry of Health for its support and recognition of the importance of interprofessional primary care teams in delivering connected and convenient care. Langs also acknowledges the dedication and hard work of its staff whose commitment to excellence has contributed to the success of this funding application and providing care to those in Cambridge and North Dumfries.
