Langs is a community development organization dedicated to providing accessible health, social and recreation programs. Donations to Langs help ensure every person in our neighbourhoods has a place to call home for health, wellness & community support. You can choose to donate to a specific program, special event or to the Langs Capital Campaign, or dedicate your donation to where funds are needed most.

Langs 'Imagine a Place...' Capital Campaign

If you were asked to imagine a place where people are heathier and happier…….a place where you feel like you belong…..a place where you can make a difference, what would you describe?

Almost 40 years ago, a group of caring residents saw a need and imagined a community development project that would change their neighbourhood for the better; an organization that would bring multiple programs and services under one roof to serve Cambridge and continue to transform based on the changing needs of the community. This place is Langs.

THE OPPORTUNITY

In its first year of operation at the new location, over 8,000 individuals were served. That participation rate has increased by more than 78% to over 15,000 individuals being served today. In a recent HUB@1145 survey, 82% of respondents indicated they felt more connected to the community and 72% accessed a service for the first time.

Currently, over 20 community partners call the HUB@1145 home. Seventeen new partners have expressed interest in joining the team.

An opportunity to expand the HUB@1145 now exists. This expansion will allow Langs and their community partners to do even more for the Cambridge community.

THE OUTCOME

The expansion will provide:

  • Additional community space, offices and group rooms for new programs.
  • Space for 5-7 more partners to provide more services to the community.
  • Additional parking.
  • Langs will be able to provide service to an additional 3,000 people annually and reduce wait times for all participants.

Construction is expected to be completed summer 2019.

Options for donating to the campaign include:

  • Buy a Brick to have your name permanently displayed on an attractive wall at Langs: $25, $50 or $100
  • Donate to the campaign and appear on our main donor wall
  • Name a room: $5,000+

Langs COVID-19 Campaign

We continue to provide essential primary care services and social work support for vulnerable populations during the COVID-19 pandemic. These populations include the homeless, isolated seniors, youth, individuals with addictions and mental health challenges.

Langs is also fulfilling a leadership role in partnership with local agencies to plan city-wide for this pandemic.

As Langs remains committed to serving the most vulnerable in our community, we need your support to make this work happen.

Your donation has an impact and brings hope to those in need during this time of crisis.

With some of our regular channels of donations being interrupted at this time, we can use your support more than ever.  Together we will make a difference!

PLEASE DONATE HERE

We thank you for your generosity as together we battle the COVID-19 virus
