About the Youth and Teen Centre

Langs Youth and Teen Centre is a welcoming and engaging environment for youth ages 5-18. Our doors are open Monday-Friday, with the exclusion of holidays. Interactive and educational programs are planned to capture the interests and imagination of young minds. The centre engages youth and encourages leadership development and skill building.

Core Programs

  • Drop In
    • Drop-ins run year-round! Come by and hang out with friends, play games, and enjoy crafts!

        • 5-11 years 6:00-7:30 pm
        • 12-17 years 7:30-9:00 pm
      • Wednesday
        • 14+ years 7:00-9:00 pm
      • Thursday
        • 11-13 years 6:00-7:30 pm
      • Friday
        • 11-13 years 6:00-7:30 pm
        • 14+ years 7:30-9:00 pm
  • Gym Programs
    • We run gym programs 3 nights a week! Check out our flyer below for more information
  • After School Programs
    • Langs offers after school programming for families in our community who have children attending St. Michael’s Catholic School and Coronation Public School. Call the Youth and Teen Centre to fill out an interest form today! 519-653-1263, press “0”. Priority is given to those living in the Langs catchment area.
  • LEAD
    • a standardized 12 module course that is currently offered at W.G. Davis during their second nutrition break. Participants between the ages of 12-16 years learn the leadership skills they need to pursue future leadership roles.
  • Breakfast Club
    • a nutritional breakfast is offered to participants on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for only 50 cents per day! This program follows the school calendar.

Additional Programs

In addition to our core programs, the Youth and Teen Centre is also home to the following programs during the school year:

  • 7th Inning Alternative Education Program – an alternative education program for youth in grades 7 & 8 who need additional support in the school setting. The classroom consists of a Waterloo Region District School Board Teacher, 2 Community Youth Workers, and up to 9 students in need of academic help and personal life management skills.
