Meet new people, develop new skills and have fun by becoming a Langs Farm Volunteer. Many volunteer opportunities are available to meet a variety of needs and interests. There are no age restrictions and student placements are always welcome. You can make a commitment of time that works for you.
As a volunteer, you can:

There are many volunteer opportunities at Langs Farm, such as:
- Become a member of the Board of Directors
- Join a committee and help plan community events and services
- Help lead a preschool, youth or teen program
- Help lead activities in adult programs
- Become a volunteer van driver for our programs
- Be a volunteer receptionist and assist at the Resource Centre
- Help raise funds to support our programs and services
- Become a street representative and deliver newsletters
How to Get Involved:
- Call the Volunteer Co-ordinator to make an appointment or fill in the online volunteer application to the right
- Have a face to face meeting with the Volunteer Co-ordinator
- Tell us about your interest and the time that you can commit to being a volunteer
- Fill out volunteer information forms
- Visit some programs and services
- Work with the Co-ordinator to determine the best position for you
- Obtain a police check (we pay for it)
- Attend an orientation session
- Attend training sessions as needed
- Be recognized for your contribution regularly and during National Volunteer Week in April
